An English teacher, he authored two books on automata: "Paper Locksmith" and "Paper Automata," published by the UK-based Tarquin. Following the success of these books, Rob began creating his own models under the brand Flying Pig. Their popularity led Rob to dedicate himself full-time to designing automata and snap-ups.
